Muslim community in Quebec | Why I vote Sept. 4?
My name is …… and I’m here to encourage you to vote in the Quebec general election. A community that votes is a community that is listened to so make your voice heard. Vote September 4th to defend your constitutional rights.
Once again, the place of Quebec Muslims in Quebec society is front and centre in this election campaign. The Canadian Muslim Forum believes that Quebec’s future government must 1) promote a positive discourse on Quebec’s minorities, 2) address discrimination and Islamophobia, 3) ensure that women who choose the hijab have full access to employment, and 4) address the underemployment of Quebec Muslims.
In addition to voting on September 4th, the CMF encourages you to be involved in the electoral process. For example, stay abreast of election news, participate in phone-in shows, write letters to the editor and post blog commentary, invite candidates to your community centres and volunteer in election campaigns.
Vote on September 4th — to defend your constitutional rights and to help choose the next government.
