Turkish club Galatasaray says it has signed Spanish winger Albert Riera from Olympiakos on a four-year deal worth $4.3 million US.

Galatasaray says on its website the 29-year-old will be paid $3.8 million for the first year, $4.1 million for the second year and $4.3 million for each of the next two years, with an additional $10,650 fee per game.

The eight-time Spain international moved to Olympiakos from Liverpool last summer.

Galatasaray finished in eighth place last season, its worst result in years.The Istanbul-based club made major signings this summer, including Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Eboue, Uruguay’s Fernando Muslera and Felipe Melo of Brazil.
